Ok...so my blogging vacation was longer than expected! Life gets in the way of blogging sometimes. The main thing that has kept me busy is the revamping of my craftroom! I have had so much fun putting it together! Everyone has been bugging me for some photos so here they are...
I've been waiting for 6 years to have a nice space that is all mine! You may notice that the paint job along the ceiling is not the best. I did that on purpose (well, mostly) because I'm planning to put up some moulding. There are still a few things I need like a lampshade, a stool, some casters to raise the work table up and some organization in the closet. Eventually, I will store albums, photos, memorabilia and paper scraps in the closet. I love knowing exactly where everything is! Makes it super easy to get stuff done and to put things away! The thing I am most proud of is that since I've been collecting "stuff" for years, I didn't have to buy anything besides the Making Memories tool carousel, which I got from
Two Peas for $15.00!!! I was so excited about this find because @ Michael's it's $40.00! SCORE! I bought the paint too, of course and a trashcan that I scored for $2.30 on clearance from Target!
I ordered the Cuckoo clock art from Modern Dose that I blogged about a few weeks ago. It should be here any day! All the furniture was repurposed from what I already had. I purchased the antique cubby hole thing a few years ago with the money I made on my first published ideabook (with Pinecone Press). It was a fabulous find & worth every penny! The worktable is a computer desk, which works perfectly (except for the height). My new trashcan fits perfectly in the space where a computer tower would normally go and the pull-out shelf, normally for a keyboard, houses some tin buckets with pens, pads of paper, etc. I could go on & on but I don't want to bore you with ALL the details. If you have a question about something specific, just leave me a message and I'll be happy to answer it! If I could fit a comfy chair in there, I might never leave my happy pink room! Thanks for checking it out!
xoxoxo
PS Forgive me for all the photos in the post. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to post them in an album or a slideshow :oP

Love my girls!!!
Jocelyn sent me some photos from our get together and this is my favorite one...
Just wanted to send some loving to my scrappy girls!
March comes in a lion...
and it definitely did this year...with a couple of inches of snow on Monday. Then we ended the week with temps in the 70's!!! Crazy, right?! I'll take the warmer days, thank you very much! I went to my favorite antiques/collectibles shop, Now & Again, in Fallston on Saturday and I had to break out the flip flops! So happy to see painted toes again! The dogs were loving the warm weather and that they got to drive around in the car with me! All of these things bring me to my weekly list...
10 things that made me happy this week
1. Nice neighbors who clear the snow from my driveway!
2. Baking this cake and making this card for nice neighbor...
3. A clean house that has stayed relatively clean.
4. Finishing "The Hour I First Believed" by Wallie Lamb. It was a little long but still worth reading.
5. Receiving handmade TY card from Jamie & handmade birthday card from Jocelyn!
6. This old typewriter...
and these treasures from Now & Again Antiques...
7. Playing Hide & Seek with Jake
8. Wearing flipflops & painted toenails...

10 things that made me happy...( a little late)
Yeah, so life has gotten the better of me lately and I didn't post my 10 happy things for last week. At least I have a clean house and empty laundry baskets. That's good, right?!
Here's what made me happy last week...
1. Makeup shopping @ Ulta with Tracy. New makeup is fun!
2. An early birthday card (handmade) from Jake!
3. Watching Jake climb a tree in the front yard. Love his imagination!
4. New library books! Can't wait to dig in!
5. Zeke, my so very bad but so very sweet bed warming, snuggling dog!
6. Double-feature movie day with Tracy! He's Just Not That Into You and Slumdog Millionaire---loved them both!
7. Caramel Apple Cidar with double whipped cream from Starbucks...mmmmm!
8. A finished layout...
9. My new hairdryer with the retractible cord...oh, and it's PINK!
10. This clock I made...
I need to seal it and add a hanger so, it's propped against the wall for now!
A close up. The numbers are woodburned into the face.
I saw a similar one on Design Sponge and knew I wanted one! It was fairly easy, fun & inexpensive to make! Can't wait to hang it up! Maybe it will help me be on time more often. Nahhhh, probably NOT!
Hopefully, I'll be back tomorrow with 10 things from this week! Now, Go BE HAPPY!

Current Wish list...
Here are 5 things I'm currently coveting...
It's a print from JennSki's Etsy Shop. So cool and would be perfect in my basement!
Another print from Etsy. This one is from johncgolden's shop. All the prints from his Lunestrella series make me happy!
Is this not the coolest cork board you've ever seen?! Not only do I love her Hoop De Doo's but she's an amazing scrapper as well.
I Love the Expetit system with the desk from IKEA and it will fit perfectly in my basement as an office/computer area. It's nice to dream!
And finally...
I'm drooling over this clock from Modern Dose...just perfect for my future studio!
Now all I need to do is win the lottery or find a sugar daddy! Can you tell Jake was home sick again and I had some time on the computer today?! Happy Hump Day!

With a little help from my friends...
Weekend started badly (won't bother going into it here) but ended up being wonderful thanks to some of the best friends a girl could ask for!!!
After Jake's basketball game on Saturday, I went to scrap all day @ Great Scraps with my girlies, Tina, Effie, Jamie, Debbie,Logan and Laura. Unfortunately, we were missing Jocelyn. who was sick. She was definitely missed. I created a minibook that Effie came up with, a page from a kit Tina gave us and a page of my own. Lots of talking, eating & laughing! FUN! FUN! FUN! Got home late and couldn't sleep so I scrapped a little more and watched TV!
Then, on Sunday, I met up with my friend, Tracy for a double feature movie day! We saw "He's Just Not That Into You", which was filmed in Baltimore. We didn't recognize too many places though. I think they dressed them up to look alot differently than they normally do, for example, some of the resturants. It was so good! Loved it!
The second movie we saw was "Slumdog Millionaire". This is by far the best movie I have seen in a loooooooong time! I can't say enough about it! LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! It deserved each & every Oscar it won! It will stay with me for a long time! Run to see it if you haven't yet!
I tried to stay up to finish watching the Academy Awards but fell asleep before "Best Actress/Actor" and "Best Movie" were announced. I figured that the DVR recorded them but..............NO! So I had to read the paper the next day to see who won!
Yesterday, I got a 7:30 am call to substitute for Media (library)@ a local school. Pretty easy day but I was tired from lack of sleep over the weekend and had a massive headache when I got home. Jake arrived home not feeling well either. No fever but coughing alot. ICK! I know he wasn't feeling well b/c he asked if he could lay down in my room to watch some TV & he never does that! This kid can't sit still for more than 5 minutes so I knew something was up. He stayed there for the rest of the night (until bedtime).
Today Jake is home with me. Still no fever, just some nasty coughing. We played some Bakugan, baked some cookies and he took it easy. Just what Dr. Mom ordered! Hopefully, back to school tomorrow.
Thanks again to my awesome friends for making my weekend fabulous!
Happy Tuesday!

30 Hershey nuggets, an extra large Hershey bar, 5 Hershey Kisses and a huge jaw breaker
This is what Zeke, my black dog, helped himself to this week. Not to mention the trash he got into...TWICE. OY! Here's some of the evidence...
I was so proud of myself for finishing these nice little gift tins early. They were meant for some scrappy friends I'm seeing on Saturday. But Zeke decided to help himself by mauling the tins to get to the chocolate inside. So much for the cute gifts. Let's just say I was not happy...AT ALL. Don't worry the vet said he'll be fine. I wasn't too worried because I think he has an iron stomach!
FREE DOG TO GOOD HOME!!!

Glass half-full...or 10 things that made me happy this week!
Usually I'm a glass half full kinda person but the past 9 months or so have sometimes made it difficult to see the good things. This week I've made it a mission to seek and find little things that make me smile and or bring me joy. Here they are...
10 things that made me happy this week:
1. Seeing my mom's expression when we surprised her with a 65th birthday party.
2. When Jake brings home empty ziplocs and bottles in his lunchbox because he knows we recycle.
3. Relaxing in a clean house.
4. The warmer weather, even if it was only for a few days.
5. New fun scrappy kit from Studio Calico
6. This hat...
and this vest...
Both of which I bought for Jake!
7. Jake reading a whole Capt. Underpants book while we ran errands. Big accomplishment!
8. This photo...
9. Jake's 100% on his math test
10. Getting new music from I-Tunes
Hmmmm...maybe this will become a weekly post. What made you smile this week?
